Display unread message count on Blank widget "Messages" link

Users would like to see an indicator, such as "(1)", next to the "Messages" link on the Blank widget to show if there are unread text messages. Currently, clicking the link starts a new message rather than opening the existing messages app, leading users to open the app more frequently to check for missed important messages.
